[How To] Get Your STEAM ID
Overview:
This tutorial will explain how to obtain your STEAM ID whether in or out of game with screenshot's to show the easiest method. STEAM ID's are used for many different purposes. They are viewable by the public and unique to every player. We use them here to assign admin privileges, custom models, player bans, etc.
In-Game:
Join a server from the server browser (internet server not a lan server).
Press the tilde key (~) key to open the console while in-game. View Image
type 'status' and press enter (without the quotes). View Image
Locate your name on the list. View Image
Your STEAM ID has this format: STEAM_0:1:23456789 View Image
Copy and paste it where needed and you are done.
Not In-Game:
You can use a small utility program: Steam ID Finder. It will not install any files on your computer. When you run the .exe it finds your STEAM ID by reading the logs in your local Steam folder. It will display your ID in a small window. You can click 'Copy' to copy and paste it where needed.

From The Web:
You can use use the website below to get your steam id by using your steam profile URL. To get your steam profile url go to your profile in the steam community. Then right click any where on the page and click copy url. This is done from steam. If you are outside of steam you will just need the url from the address bar. You can use a verity of different values to achieve the same result.

Tip:
Using the first method (in-game) you will see a list of all player STEAM IDs that are currently on the server.
The second method will only return the STEAM ID's on your computer. If multiple Steam accounts have been used on your computer then it will display them all.
The third method will show the STEAM ID for the specified profile on the steam community.
